1989 saw Mike Tyson defeat Frank Bruno,
thus retaining the world heavyweight title. The year also saw
the collapse of the Berlin Wall after 28 years of division between
East and West and the Chinese Army turn on demonstrators in
Tiananmen Square.
Sinead O’Connor launched the number one hit, "Nothing
Compares 2U" and few people realised she was really singing
about the foundation of BAW.
BAW was established as a breakdown and maintenance sheet metal
fabricator for brewery and agri-chemical industries. The company
has since progressed into a volume based component manufacturer.
Company principal Tony Wright continued the investment in machinery
which has allowed for the ongoing development of customer products
and services. This has enabled BAW to forge closer working relationships
with its customers, inspiring the highest level of confidence.
The BAW team is a reliable, conscientious, meticulous and methodical
one, and operates a ‘one-stop personal contact’
system, allowing direct contact for its customers and giving
individual responsibility for customer care.
